Salim Zakhrouf, a Muslim UK citizen of Algerian origin, has had 7 applications for employment with Cathay Pacific turned down.
In his last attempt he was refused a job interview. 48 hours later he applied "as 'Ian Woodhouse' with an identical CV and home address, he was invited for an interview by the same personnel officer who had first refused him. "
Seems Cathay gives a new definition to the term "Equal Opportunity Employer". You have an equal opportunity to be rejected every time you apply.
Reminds me of the "random" airport searches I was subjected to in the US. If these are "random" odds, I'd be a millionaire if I played the lottery.
A man on a long journey through a perpetual desert.
