Israeli School Textbook Causes Controversy
An Israeli school textbook that presents both the Israeli and Palestinian versions of the events of 1948 has come under fire.
What I find really novel is this: "The Israeli narrative is presented on the right, the Palestinian narrative on the left, and down the middle are empty lines in which the students are asked to fill with their thoughts." [My emphasis]
What a great idea! I also like the title of the book, "Learning the Historical Narrative of the Other". Humanity in general needs a lot more of that.
You can read the story here.
